Comparing Adolescence

Our parents and us have some similarities with our adolescence but there are also some big differences. Both of the generations seem to have a hard time during adolescence with emotions and how they look. Both generations seem to believe that they change when they get into there adolescent years from when they are kids and when they turn into an adult. One of the biggest differences in the generations is that before they didn't have as much technology so they would spend a lot more time outside, but now since we have a lot more technology and it's a lot more advanced so we spend more time inside then outside. I think that if we didn't have such advanced technology we would probably spend more time outside with friends or playing sports like the last generation did. I think that both of them have there ups and downs because now there is a lot of technology that makes it easy but then we don't go out as much so we aren't as social or active. Before they didn't have technology so they were more social and active.

  2. Brandon, interesting comments. I think that where your mom grew up; Iowa, compared to where you are growing up; Kuala Lumpur, are two such vastly different places that it may be difficult to compare. Smaller towns or rural areas are much more community oriented than life in a big city. Good interview, and excellent post!
